That price includes collection direct from your room, storage for the whole summer, free return delivery to your new address, and unlimited free packing boxes. There is no deposit, and if you refer a friend you both save a further £5. Prefer to drop things off yourself? Bring-it-yourself storage starts from £6 per week for unlimited items.
How It Works, Step By Step
- Book online or by phone. Tell us roughly how many items you have and your collection date, and a member of the team will confirm your quote.
- Collect your free boxes. Pick up as many as you need before packing week, which beats paying campus shops per box.
- We collect from your room. No borrowing a mate's car, no lugging boxes down three flights of halls stairs. Our team collects directly from your accommodation.
- Everything is stored securely. Your items sit in our purpose-built Chorlton facility, covered by 300+ CCTV cameras and a monitored alarm system.
- Free delivery in September. When your new tenancy starts, tell us the address and a time, and we deliver everything back.
What Counts As An Item?
An item is any packed storage box, bag, holdall, suitcase or bin liner, plus things like a bicycle, an ironing board, a clothes rack or a small item of furniture. A typical student room packs down to somewhere between 10 and 20 items, which is why the £97 and £127 tiers are our most popular.
Packing Tips From Ten Years Of Student Moves
- Wash and completely dry bedding and clothes before boxing them for the summer.
- Photograph electronics and their cables before unplugging, and keep cables taped to the device.
- Use suitcases for heavy items like books, and boxes for light bulky things.
- Don't store food, liquids or anything perishable, and drain your bike bottle before it goes in.
- Label every box with your name and count your items so collection day takes minutes.
Common Student Storage Questions
Can my housemates and I share a package? Yes, and it is the cheapest way to do it. Two or three housemates pooling into one larger item band nearly always beats booking separately, and you can split the collection between rooms in the same house.
What if my September move-in date changes? Nothing happens, and that is the point. Tenancy start dates slip all the time, so your belongings simply stay with us until your new date is confirmed. There is no penalty and no rebooking fee; just let the team know and we will rearrange delivery.
Can I get something out mid-summer? Of course. Access is available 7 days a week during opening hours, so if you suddenly need your interview suit or your passport in July, it is a quick trip rather than a crisis.
Is insurance included? Your belongings sit in a secure, alarmed, CCTV-monitored facility, and our team can talk you through cover options for valuable items when you book. For most student loads of clothes, books and kitchenware, the standard arrangement is all you need.
Do you cover all of Manchester? We collect from student accommodation across the city, including Fallowfield, Withington, Rusholme, Hulme and the city centre halls, as well as Chorlton itself and the rest of south Manchester.
